Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK data-protection law.

Last updated: 27 May 2026

Who we are

This website is operated by ABClivein Care Hampshire, a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider delivering care at home, live-in care, companionship and patient transport across Hampshire and Surrey.

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, ABClivein Care Hampshire is the data controller for personal data collected via this site.

What we collect through this website

This website does not host any forms that store data on our servers. Our contact links open your own email application (a mailto: link). If you choose to send us an enquiry, we receive whatever information you include in that email, typically:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if provided)
  • The contents of your message

PDF documents

We host certain documents (such as our CQC report and ICO Data Protection Certificate) as static PDF files on this website. Opening or downloading them does not collect any personal data beyond the standard server logs described below.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. These are retained for a short period and are not used for marketing or profiling.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-RGZMQBSQ4X) to measure aggregate site usage. Google Analytics collects pseudonymous identifiers, pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address (with IP-anonymisation enabled), and basic device/browser information. We do not use it for advertising.

  • Lawful basis: consent (PECR & UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Processor: Google Ireland Ltd. Data may be transferred outside the UK under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Retention in GA: 14 months.
  • Withdraw consent: click the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time, or block cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Third-party embeds

Our Contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads. We have no control over those cookies — please see Google's privacy policy for details.

Our About page embeds a reviews widget provided by homecare.co.uk. The widget loads a third-party script that may set its own cookies and log basic request information (such as IP address and browser). These are controlled by homecare.co.uk, not us — see their privacy policy. You can block third-party scripts via your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for more information.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS and hosted on reputable UK/EU infrastructure. We do not collect payments through this site, and we do not store care records, health information or any other special category data via the public website. Care records are held separately on our internal systems under our regulated processes.

Children

This website is intended for adults considering care services for themselves or a loved one. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Why we use your information (lawful basis)

  • Legitimate interests / consent — to read and reply to enquiries you send us.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain records to meet CQC, safeguarding or other regulatory duties.

We do not use information sent via this website for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for up to 24 months from last contact and are then deleted, unless they form part of a record we are required to keep for longer (for example, where you go on to become a care client).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to erase your data (where we are not required to keep it)
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data
  • Request portability of data you have provided
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@abcliveincare.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office:
